Hidden Intentions

Midnight prowlings

The man looked furtively about him before entering the room. He hid something under his coat. She was already there.

Thunder grumbled outside. They quickened their pace. Their pulses raced. Any lapse now could ruin everything.

The clock struck midnight.

A sleeping figure stirred awake.

“Happy birthday, sweetie! Surprise gifts!” said the doting parents.

Sweet temptations

The old lady looked with hungry eyes at the cupcake. She checked to see no one was looking, then hid it in her pallu.

“Keep that back right now”

The lady sighed. Her daughter never gave her enough to eat. At this age, she just wanted to live peacefully.

“Amma, you know you have diabetes”.

Love letters

Akash watched her from behind a tree, hidden from sight. How he longed to hold her close.

“I love her”. He knew it was just a dream. She didn’t even know he existed.

She passed him on her way to class. A piece of paper fluttered to the ground.

“I love you, Akash”
